“Do you know... praying mantis?”

So yes, I fell in love with a lamb while we were in Wanaka. How can you not? Just look at it! I might have taken more than a few photos of Lambert (and maybe a few videos, but who's counting?)

But I'm not the only one who's been making friends with members of the animal kingdom...

We found this little guy on our chilly bin at Twelve Mile Delta, a campsite we stayed at just outside Queenstown.  Andy had never seen a praying mantis in real life before so he was quite fascinated with it and had a lot of fun taking pictures of it.

We learned something new about praying mantises that day.  They have wings... and they can fly!  The last picture was taken just before it flew at the camera and made its escape!
